Celebrate Nelson Mandela Day With Two New 360° Views Of Cape Town

If you’re a regular Capetowners reader, you’ll have seen the “biggest picture of Cape Town ever taken” post last week. True to their word, the creators have updated the 360-degree viewer with two more incredibly high-resolution shots to explore — all in honour of Mandela Day tomorrow. The first is taken from Cape Town City Hall mere minutes after the announcement of Madiba’s passing, and the second is taken at the Green Point Stadium. Click here to view the new shots.

Fancam, the creators of Cape Town in 360, had this to say: “These two views are incredibly special and close to our hearts seeing that they were both captured just a few days after former president Nelson Mandela’s passing. We hope these new perspectives of Cape Town will allow you to relive the Madiba Memorial ceremonies and remember the legacy Tata Madiba has left behind.”

While we’re on the topic, what are you doing for your Mandela Day 67 minutes? Let us know in the comments.
