Parow kicks off his tour in Europe today, but won’t leave us without a little something to remember him by. Namely, a brand new single, in which Jack Parow sings the chorus and the whole song in English. The single doesn’t belong to any one album, and stands out in contrast to previous Parow outputs. For the first time ever, Parow is collaborating with popular hip hop artist, Ricky Rick.
“I wanted to make something that was easy listening, like the pop tracks I digged growing up. A Jackson 5 throwback, but Parow-style.” —Jack Parow
Jack Parow’s upcoming memoir as told to Theunis Engelbreght, Die ou met die snor by die bar (due for release in September 2015) was the apparent inspiration for the track.
“Theunis started interviewing me for the book towards the end of 2014. We spent hours talking about my childhood and the past. I think this triggered a kind of nostalgia in me and is partly why I made this track.” says Jack Parow.
